I regret the pacifier?

so my daughter is 6 weeks and i think i made a mistake by letting her have a pacifier. its like shes already dependent on the damn thing. and everytime i give it to her i feel like im basically saying "here, now shut up" u kno what i mean? how can i get her off of it or is she too little to get used to it then just take it away from her?
