Predictions: Golden State Warriors and Playoffs?
My prediction is they will be in the playoffs. According to Don Nelson the Warriors will play the younger guys more, which means he will rely on the bench. Why is he doing this? Well, the emergence of Brandan Wright as an inside threat, a shot block, and a rebounder allows for Biedrins to get his much needed and deserved rests. Also, Marco Belinelli and Kelenna Azubuike allow for the likes of Stephen Jackson and Baron Davis to rest. We all saw how Baron ran out of gas last year, and Don Nelson surely doesn't want that to happen again. The Warriors already have a legitimate team as they won 48 games last year. Defense will be a key in the philosophy this year. The Warriors will emphasize defense. The Warriors defense will lead to their fast breaks. On local tv, Keith Smart, a Warriors istant and likely heir to Don Nelson's throne as Warriors' head coach, stated that the Warriors will be taking less 3's and playing more set offense to help develop Wright and give the ball to Biedrins more who is very solid inside. With the draft right around the corner the Warriors could easily snatch Danilo Gallinari a very solid Italian player who is compared to the Dirk of old. Another possibility for the Warriors is DeAndre Jordan who is being compared to Dwight Howard. The Warriors are in good shape because when Belinelli and Wrigth come around there may be no stopping the Warriors offensive attack, any guy can lead the team in scoring any given night. As for a whole season, it seems as though it may be Monta this year. Oh and Denver will be booted. They don't have the best team chemistry.
