Where do i apply for childcare istance if i am a low income parent?

i am a low income mother, who is currently seasonal at Universal Studios. ive called a place near my home called "kids r kids" and they work with the government, but i called the number they gave me for parents who receive some type of help from the government and wanted to know that since i do receive help from the government and iwant to go back to work but at work they wont give me any hours what do i do? i live with my parents and they take care of him when i do work, that's only two days of the week and i work every three to four months and between nothing. so i dont know what to do
