Early miscarriage (3 weeks) dealing & coping alone?

I found out that I have had a miscarriage very early. I never knew I was pregnant just noticed a strange period. I am also going through a very rough breakup with my 1 year old son's father so I am very upset over lots of things. I have seen ways to grieve like naming the child & planting a tree. My question is should I name the baby even though I never knew I was pregnant & would never know the gender? I think that a child is a child from conception & I it saddens me to just try to forget or refer to him/her as an "it". What are other ways to cope with the loss & remember the baby? Thanks so much.
