Paper troubles!!!!!!!!!!?

So we have to do this history paper on a person who represents booker t washington words, " Success is is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome. I was going to start off saying success is measured by etc. but that's basically what the wrote says.... So any ideas for an opener.
