Why doesn't any team want richie son?

.221 is a pretty poor batting average, particularly for a 1B/DH. His OPS (.703) is also relatively poor for the positions he plays. His home run power is decent but not outstanding. Even if his skills don't decline any more he's, at best, an average bench player. The potential upside just isn't enough for any team to use up a roster spot to sign him.
